Safe Flight Instrument of White Plains, N.Y., announced at NBAA that its enhanced AutoPower automatic throttle has been certified for the Gulfstream G150. Installation of AutoPower, according to Safe Flight (Booth No. 5130), will increase the G150’s range, improve passenger comfort and enhance safety. Integrated with existing avionics displays and controls, AutoPower includes control modes for speed or power and it can provide continuous thrust management during all phases of flight. Its components include a dedicated computer, two mode-status monitors and a modified throttle quadrant with the drive units and engage and disengage switches. Safe Flight’s AutoPower will be available both as a production option and via retrofit.
