E-A-R Specialty Composites (Booth No. 331) has broken ground for a new 11,500-sq-ft acoustic test center designed to increase the Indianapolis company’s test and analysis capabilities. In particular, the new facility will enhance E-A-R’s ability to test and analyze the acoustic and vibration behavior of structures, including aircraft fuselage sections where applications, such as skin damping, can be executed in a highly controlled environment. The center, to be operational by next spring, will include two hemi-anechoic chambers and two reverberation chambers dedicated to sound absorption, sound-power and noise-emission testing.
