The company says it is a high-performance, two-component corrosion-inhibitive epoxy primer that contains no chromate, dries more quickly and has a longer pot life than current paints. Elliott Aviation, an authorized service center for the Beechjet/Hawker 400XP, has acquired multiple sets of Beechjet/Hawker 400XP landing gear. The landing gear will be used for exchange purposes to ensure minimal aircraft downtime during overhaul. Elliott Aviation’s accessory shop has overhauled multiple sets of Beechjet/Hawker 400XP landing gear and completed some 20 trunnion repairs. Elliott Aviation has completed 250 full landing-gear overhauls, 350 actuator overhauls, 500 brake assemblies, 500 wheels and 1,400 NDT inspections.
West Star Aviation’s East Alton location was founded in 1947 and was originally named Walston Aviation. It changed ownership in 1986 and was renamed Premier Air Center. Peterborough, Ontario-based Flying Colours has received approval from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) to work on business aircraft registered in the State of Qatar. The MRO will provide a range of regular and line maintenance work on business jets originating from the Middle East. QCAA status enables the MRO to undertake continuing airworthiness and maintenance work on aircraft including all those under its Transport Canada Civil Aviation approval (the Bombardier Challenger and Global series and the Dassault Falcon series).
Hawker Pacific Aerospace has opened its new 12,000-sq-ft airframe-related component (ARC) shop in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The move broadens the landing gear specialist’s expertise to include services for thrust reversers. The facility, which has already received its first five thrust reverser units, serves as the hub of thrust reverser services for Lufthansa Technik’s customers within the Americas.

Jet Aviation Dubai recently redelivered its first successful controller pilot datalink communications and automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast out upgrade on a Gulfstream G550 for an undisclosed customer in the region. “This particular upgrade was technologically challenging and logistically complicated,” said Wajahat Ali Khan, director of safety and maintenance at Jet Aviation Dubai.
Rusada has signed an agreement with Aircraft Maintenance Services Australia for the implementation of the Envision MRO material modules across all of its line maintenance bases in Australia. The company’s Envision software is Camo-compliant, providing key management information and operational process control for operators, original equipment manufacturers, maintenance and repair organizations and service organizations.
