Jazeera extends Lufthansa agreemen
Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways has extended its total technical support (TTS) agreement with Lufthansa Technik to include total engine support (TES) valued at more than $70 million.
“We are opening a new chapter in air travel in the Middle East region and from the beginning we have been selecting the best partners to help us,” said Jazeera chairman and CEO Marwan Boodai during a signing ceremony here at Farnborough. The TTS contract, signed at last November’s Dubai airshow, covers engineering services and maintenance support at the airline’s Kuwait base. The TES deal adds power-by-the-hour support for the CFM56-5B2 engines on the carrier’s four Airbus A320s and any additional aircraft.
