Flexjet chairman Kenn Ricci takes delivery of the fractional provider's first two Gulfstream G450LXis from Gulfstream Aerospace president Larry Flynn on June 23, 2015. The LXi-series Gulfstreams are exclusive to Flexjet and include customized interiors.

Gulfstream Aerospace today delivered the first two Gulfstream G450LXi models to Dallas-based Flexjet during a delivery ceremony at Gulfstreamā€™s Savannah, Ga. headquarters, marking the first non-Bombardier aircraft to enter the fractional provider's fleet. These deliveries are part of Flexjet's firm order for 22 Gulfstreamsā€”10 G450LXis, six G650LXis and six G500LXisā€”and options for 28 more that it placed in October during the launch event for the G500 and G600.

ā€œWhen we placed this order with Gulfstream, we wanted to make sure we would be able to offer these new aircraft to our owners in a timely manner,ā€ said Flexjet chairman Kenn Ricci. ā€œThe delivery of our first Gulfstream aircraft fulfills this commitment and commences a period in which we will be the only fractional provider adding new Gulfstreams to our fleet, making them available on an exclusive basis.ā€ Flexjet's first G650LXi is expected to enter service early next year, followed by the G500LXi in 2018.

The LXi-series Gulfstreams, exclusive to Flexjet, are outfitted with customized interiors that include "unique touches and aesthetic themes" with a high level of "artisanal craftsmanship." One of the fractional provider's new G450LXi models will be publicly unveiled at the NBAA Regional Forum at Teterboro Airport on Thursday.
