The new Cessna Citation Longitude and Learjet 70/75 will feature Garmin G5000-based flight decks. In the case of the Learjet 70/75, Bombardier has opted to adopt the Vision brand name for its flight deck (as it does with the avionics suites in the Global series, which feature Rockwell Collins Fusion-based cockpits). Both manufacturers’ cockpits will feature the touchscreen controllers that Garmin has developed for G5000 (and G3000 and G2000) systems, synthetic vision technology, dual FMS with performance data, solid-state weather radar with turbulence detection and ground clutter suppression, checklists, electronic documents and charts, Tcas II/Acas II traffic with Garmin ADS-B target correlation and tracking, Fans/CPDLC compliance, optional Iridium transceiver with weather datalink and voice/data communications and optional XM WX in the U.S. and Canada.

Garmin also announced that the FAA has issued an STC for the G1000 upgrade for the Beechcraft King Air 300/350. The G1000 is now STC’d in the King Air C90, 200, B200, 300 and 350.
