Bombardier’s Global Vision cockpit for the Global 5000 and 6000 (formerly XRS) received certification from Transport Canada, although advanced features such as synthetic vision and enhanced vision on the head-up display will come later. Global Vision is based on the Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion flight deck, which received FAA approval of all applicable technical standard orders in April. Entry into service for Global Vision on the Global 5000 and 6000 is planned for early next year, following anticipated FAA and EASA certification of Global Vision later this year. Certification of synthetic vision on a head-up display by Bombardier and Rockwell Collins will be an industry first.
