FltPlan.com, which claims to be the online flight planning and filing service of choice for three out of four turbine business aircraft operators in the U.S., expanded its coverage to Central America and most of the Caribbean islands. According to the company, pilots flying south of the border can use the same data-entry methods as for a domestic FltPlan.com plan, and the FAA accepts the flight plan, which is in the required ICAO format. FltPlan.com flight planning and filing are free to any registered pilot, including those in the newly expanded coverage areas.
