Textron Could Boost R&D Spending
Textron CEO Scott Donnelly said his company is prepared to increase R&D spending at subsidiaries Bell and Cessna in anticipation of the aviation industry’s recovery.
He noted that Bell’s R&D funding will be increased by 50 percent, but did not specify how much Cessna’s R&D budget would rise. New models and upgrades to existing aircraft may come as soon as 2012, Donnelly said.
