Preliminary Report: Riley Conversion crashes on takeoff

Cessna 421C Riley Turbine Eagle, Overland Park, Kan., Jan. 21, 2005–The pilot and four passengers were killed when Riley conversion N844JK crashed in Overland Park after taking off from Johnson County Executive Airport (OJC), Olathe, Kan. The accident site was about one mile northeast of OJC, and the aircraft was destroyed. The Part 91 personal flight was on an IFR flight plan in IMC, en route to Zephyrhills, Fla.
