Boeing Unit Introduces Flight Attendant Training

Cabin-safety and service training for business-jet flight attendants is now being offered by Alteon Training, a Renton, Wash.-based subsidiary of Boeing. The five-day course includes training in evacuation, firefighting, first aid, ditching, security, hazardous-materials handling and crew resource management. Additionally, flight attendants receive training in food handling and service. The training is done in a classroom and two cabin simulators, one a motion-based unit equipped with simulated smoke, turbulence and emergency sound effects. The course is now available in Long Beach, Calif. Soon it will also be available in Seattle, Atlanta, Miami and Palma, Spain. For information call (206) 662-8236 or (877) 327-7275.
