The Nordam Group named Ken Lackey chairman and CEO and John Uczekaj president and COO. Nordam chairman Ray Siegfried II died on October 6. Lackey had served as CEO and president of Nordam since 2001. He was recently named vice chairman and CEO. Uczekaj joined the company as COO in August last year after serving as executive v-p and general manager of Honeywell’s aerospace and electronics systems business. The company also named David Whitten director of global marketing at its repair division. He was director of planning and strategy at Goodrich Aerospace’s Aircraft, Wheels and Brakes division. Lynn Brubaker was elected to the board of directors of the company. She was most recently v-p/general manager of commercial aerospace for Honeywell International.
Norwell, Mass.-based Sentient Jet named Tom Davis president and CEO of its operating subsidiary Atlantic Aviation Flight Services. He was most recently president and a founding partner of Triax Partners.
New York, N.Y.-based CIT Group named Patrick Dowling managing director and general manager of CIT Aerospace and Defense Finance. Dowling previously served as managing director and industry leader of aerospace and defense for GE Commercial and Industrial Finance.
Brian Olsen was named president of Empire Aero Center, a subsidiary of Israel Aircraft Industries International. He replaces Joseph Reinhertz.
Alexandria, Va.-based Flight Explorer named James Kelly president and CEO. He succeeds Walt Kross.
West Star Aviation named Rick Brainard general manager of the company’s Grand Junction, Colo. facility. Brainard originally joined West Star Aviation’s avionics and modification programs.
Peter Scherrer is the new manager of Westchester County Airport in White Plains, N.Y. He replaces Joel Russell, who is now manager at Albany (N.Y.) International Airport. Scherrer was previously the airport’s assistant manager.
CMC Electronics promoted Cathy Bain to v-p of marketing and sales and named François Dorval v-p of quality assurance and continuous improvement. Bain has been director of marketing for the company’s commercial aviation business unit since 2000. Dorval was most recently v-p of programs at Thales Avionics Canada.
Rockwell Collins has promoted Kent Statler to senior v-p and general manager of Collins Aviation Services. He replaces Harry Gregory, who will retire at the beginning of this month. Statler was previously senior v-p of operations.
Steve Fushelberger was named v-p of marketing at Cessna Aircraft. Phil Michel, the current v-p of marketing, will remain at the company until his retirement next April. Fushelberger was most recently v-p of public affairs for the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies. He also held marketing positions at Rolls-Royce, Agusta Aerospace and the Avolar division of United Airlines.
Lyndsey McFarren has joined the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) as manager of research and special projects. Her responsibilities include responding to telephone and written inquiries from NATA members and assisting members in researching various regulatory issues.
Boise, Idaho-based Western Aircraft named Scott Clarey regional director of aircraft sales and Colleen Back director of sales, marketing and business development.
Grand Prairie, Texas-based Heritage Aviation named Dwayne Williams chief pilot. He was previously a chief pilot with Bell Helicopter.
Roy Irwin was named general manager of Santa Ana, Calif.-based West Coast Charters. He was most recently with JetCorp in St. Louis.
Washington, D.C.-based CSSI named Dr. Mark Rodgers chief scientist for human integration and Robbie Leftwich senior separation and safety manager.
Wadsworth, Ohio-based SMR Group named Michael Hugill and Thomas Gollicker senior acquisition specialists. Hugill was previously president of Flight Structures. Gollicker was president and founder of Georgetown Aircraft Services and president of Page Air Services, which later became Page Avjet.
Executive Jet Management named Brian Lash v-p of client relations for the company’s aircraft management clients in the Midwest. He was previously an aviation consultant and assistant to the chairman of Hill, Holiday, Connors, Cosmopulos in Boston, where he assisted in establishing a corporate flight department and evaluated and purchased aircraft and charter services. Don Emerling was named director of quality and process improvement for the company. He previously worked for 3M Imation and Ryobi.
Palwaukee Municipal Airport named Kevin Dohm chairman of its board of directors. Dohm has been a line pilot for United Airlines since 1989 and has served as captain on the Airbus A320 since 2000. He is also a former charter and corporate pilot, a certified flight instructor and president of Triple D Holdings.
Dede Miller joined Piper McCredie Insurance Agency in Flint, Mich., in the aviation sales department. She was previously a corporate pilot and owned her own insurance agency.
Mordechai “Moti” Boness, has joined the board of directors of Aviation Technology Group. Boness is president of Israel Aircraft Industries International, the American subsidiary of Israel Aircraft Industries.
Dassault Aviation Services named Terry Bacola general manager of the Little Rock Service Center. He replaces Ken Root, who has been named maintenance manager. Dennis Cockrell was named customer service manager. He was previously maintenance manager.
Shawn Coyle has been named chief of flight operations for Agusta Aerospace in Philadelphia.
Garrett/Piedmont Hawthorne/Associated (now Landmark Aviation) promoted Gary Buchanan to regional v-p of sales for the Western region and international markets. Peter Muenzen was promoted to regional v-p of sales for the eastern region. They were both previously sales directors for Garrett Aviation.
Bill Gergely was named site leader of General Technology, a Crane Aerospace & Electronics company.
Rich Ropp was promoted to sales and marketing director at Chesterfield, Mo.-based JetCorp.
Chicago-based Jet Support Services (JSSI) hired Charles Stone as eastern region sales representative.
The Be A Pilot board elected the following officers for next year: Phil Michel, Cessna, v-p of marketing, chairman; Phil Boyer, AOPA president, communications committee chairman; Pete Bunce, president of GAMA, board secretary/treasurer; and Ken Gazzola, executive v-p of the McGraw-Hill Aviation Week Group, finance chairman.

Simsbury, Conn.-based Global Jet Services named Robert Gould its Part 145 repair station program lead instructor.
Amy Brunner joined Duncan Aviation as accessory customer service representative.
Lynnwood, Wash.-based Crane Aerospace & Electronics named Steve Schrader director of quality assurance for the aerospace group.

Montreal-based CMC Electronics named Gerald Charland v-p of strategy and business development and promoted James Palmer to v-p of customer support and commercial services. Charland was most recently v-p of strategy and business development at Thales Aerospace and Thales Avionics, North America. Palmer was CMC’s director of commercial services.
Chesterfield, Mo.-based Thunder Aviation announced four personnel appointments. Richard Nickerson was named v-p of sales and marketing. He returns to Thunder Aviation from Bell/Agusta Aerospace. In his previous stint at Thunder, Nickerson was eastern regional sales manager. Ross Pritchard was promoted to regional sales manager for the North territory. Matthew Leiboult was named cost center manager. Kevin Manahan was promoted to director of maintenance. He was previously chief inspector at Thunder.
