Satcom Direct, a satcom service provider based in Florida, has introduced a new service called Aero X that the company claims will provide significant increases in Swift64 data rates. Using Satcom Direct’s proprietary compression algorithms and EMS Satcom’s Cabin Network Accelerator hardware, Aero X can achieve data speeds of up to 500 kilobytes to one megabyte per second, the company said. The faster connection speeds mean less money spent for the same amount of data traffic received, according to Satcom Direct, a provider of satcom services to business aircraft operators since 1997.
