Charles (“Charlie”) Tooley was named vice president of the aviation practice for Accordia. He was most recently the aviation regional practice leader for Marsh Aviation in Kansas City.
Richard Tranquilli was named v-p of organizational development for Executive Jet Management. Terry Doehling was named regional v-p for aircraft management sales for the eastern U.S.
Chapman Freeborn Airchartering promoted Stefan Kohlmann to general manager in Germany.
Signature Flight Support promoted Devin Madgett to general manager of its Santa Barbara, Calif. FBO. Madgett joined the company in January as the assistant general manager of Signature’s Las Vegas facility.
Former Gulfstream chief demonstration pilot Bill Watters joined very light jet developer Adam Aircraft as v-p of flight operations.
Gulfstream promoted Neil Vernon to chief pilot for G450/G550 demonstration.
Richard Michaels was named v-p of marketing for Cleveland-based Corporate Wings and its affiliated companies, including Mercury Air Centers.
Brad Mottier was named v-p and general manager of the services business within General Electric’s GE Transportation, Aircraft Engines. He was president of Unison Industries, a wholly owned GE subsidiary.
William Tanis Jr. and Matthew Betty were named directors of managed aircraft sales for Raytheon Aircraft Charter and Management. Tanis was most recently president/owner of IdealAir. Betty was previously regional v-p of aircraft sales for UltraJet Club in Cleveland and regional v-p of charter sales for Executive Jet Management. In other Raytheon news, Jeff Curry was promoted to general manager for Raytheon Aircraft Services’ San Antonio facility. He was most recently general manager of Raytheon Aircraft’s Dallas location in support of Flight Options.
TWC Aviation opened a full-service branch office at John Wayne Airport in Los Angeles. Scott Cutshall was hired as base manager. Supporting him are pilots Rick Hutton and Laura Crosson.
Business Jet Center announced three personnel appointments. Dave Mills was promoted to general manager of the Oakland International Airport facility. Sheila Opitz was promoted to marketing director in charge of advertising, promotions and public relations for the company’s facilities at Oakland International and Dallas Love Field as well as for sister company Business Jet Services. Brian Hoffman was named general manager of Business Jet Services.
Susan Thompson has been promoted to operations manager of Sabreliner’s Independence, Kan. engine component repairoperation. Richard McKinney was named accessories business development manager.
Orlando, Fla.-based ASIG named Kim Osborne senior director of sales and customer service and David Pittman CFO. Osborne was most recently regional vice president for the eastern and Caribbean regions for Worldwide Flight Services. Pittman was previously CFO of two Delta Air Lines divisions: Song Airways and Delta Technology.
Duncan Aviation hired John Kauppila as Gulfstream technical representative in Battle Creek, Mich.; Dean Williams as project manager in Battle Creek; Jeremy Buschlen as Gulfstream airframe team leader in Battle Creek; and Don Fuoco as team leader for the Lincoln, Neb. airframe sales team.
