Bombardier Owes Results to Its Bizjets

Bombardier Aerospace’s performance improved in FY2006, primarily the result of a continued strong business jet market. According to financial results for the fiscal year ending January 31, the regional aircraft market presented “significant challenges,” but the business jet market remained strong with a “45-percent boost in deliveries. Net orders rose by 36 percent for the year, bringing the total to 210 aircraft.” An increase in revenues for the year compared with the previous year is “mainly due to increased deliveries and improved selling prices of business aircraft and a lower volume of pre-owned business aircraft available for sale.”
