Honda Aircraft is putting the final touches on its new Greensboro, N.C. customer service facility, slated for an opening ceremony next month. A spokeswoman for Honda told AIN, “Once in service, the facility will complement the HondaJet dealer network,” which includes three dealers in Europe and seven in North America. FAA Part 145 certification is expected by year-end.

The 90,000-sq-ft facility provides 40,000 sq ft of hangar floor space and a 4,000-sq-ft environmentally controlled parts warehouse that will stock more than 10,000 individual parts. “The facility will be able to provide maintenance for up to 12 aircraft simultaneously,” she said.

Honda broke ground on the $20 million customer service facility at Piedmont Triad International Airport one year ago this month. The facility, which includes a 24/7 support center, has several back shops for composite and sheet metal structures, avionics and interiors. There is also a customer area with a large pilots’ lounge, individual work rooms with conference space and a flight-planning room situated near the aircraft ramp side entrance.
