Hawker Beechcraft Opens Beijing Office
Hawker Beechcraft (HBC) has opened a new regional headquarters office in Beijing to cover the North Asia region, including mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. According to the company it has also added local employees and strengthened its sales and marketing network in the region. The office will support all HBC operations, including maintenance. To that end, HBC recently appointed Metrojet an authorized service center in Hong Kong. Jeff Anastas, HBC’s vice president of China, North Asia, described China as “one of the world’s strongest growth regions for business aviation,” and said, “We see tremendous potential in the China market. Between 2006 and 2010, HBC held the largest percentage in business turbine deliveries at 33 percent, with Gulfstream following at 24 percent. At the end of 2010 HBC had 18 percent of the total aircraft population in China.” Six Hawker Beechcraft models have received certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China: the Hawker 4000, Hawker 900, Beechcraft King Air 350i/350ER, Beechcraft King Air C90GTx, Beechcraft Baron G58 and Beechcraft Bonanza G36.
