By August 2010, Duncan Aviation will open its third full-service business aviation maintenance facility–at Provo Municipal Airport in Utah. The new facility will offer maintenance services similar to those available at Duncan’s locations in Lincoln, Neb., and Battle Creek, Mich., including heavy maintenance and modifications on Falcons, Challengers, Learjets, Hawkers, Citations, Embraers and Gulfstreams, according to a spokeswoman. “We have been working with several OEMs; they are excited about the new facility and many will support our efforts with service-center authorizations,” she said. The state of Utah provided incentives for Duncan Aviation to select Provo for its new facility. Although Duncan hasn’t announced who will run the Provo shop, the spokeswoman said, “It is our plan to choose someone who is currently a leader at one of our locations. Because this is a start-up, it is vital that the person who manages the Provo facility be familiar with the Duncan Aviation culture, values and processes.”
