Aero Air at Portland-Hillsboro (Ore.) International Airport broke ground last week on a 30,000-sq-ft hangar slated for completion by November 1. The hangar will include an additional 3,000 sq ft of offices, Aero Air said. The new facility will expand the FBO’s total hangar space to 105,000 sq ft, allowing its maintenance and hangar lease businesses to expand. According to FBO manager Debbie Brown, higher aircraft taxes in California and Washington are driving owners to base their aircraft in Hillsboro.
