FAA Approves STL's Airport Noise Program

The FAA approved the Lambert-St. Louis International Airport’s noise compatibility program following a two-year noise study. Its new program focuses on three areas: noise abatement, land-use planning and program management. Noise abatement measures include approved departure routes and time restrictions on various aircraft operations and movements. Land-use planning will also ensure that any developments are compatible with airport and aircraft operations.
