In just a few days, NBAA’s 63rd Annual Meeting and Convention opens at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The show kicks off Tuesday morning with the opening general session, featuring Georgia governor and pilot Sonny Perdue, U.S. Chamber of Commerce president Tom Donahue, FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt, TSA administrator John Pistole and Cox Communications CEO Jimmy Hayes. Pre-show educational sessions will be held on Sunday and Monday, and the annual charity golf tournament tees off Sunday at Stone Mountain Golf Club. The static display at DeKalb Peachtree Airport will be full, including the largest-ever NBAA display by a single manufacturer at the Hawker Beechcraft pavilion. Other manufacturers are expected to launch new programs, including Bombardier's announcement of a new line of Global jets. NBAA is still looking for volunteers on Sunday to help with the community build project at the Brookhaven Club. AIN will provide comprehensive coverage at the show. Our NBAA Convention News will publish three daily print issues at the show starting Tuesday morning. AINtv will begin on-site broadcasting on Monday, and AINalerts will publish daily afternoon issues from Monday through Thursday. Also, look for Web-exclusive stories, podcasts and videocasts on AINonline, as well as frequent Twitter and Facebook updates. New this year are a flip-through digital version of AIN's show issues and a revamped show landing page with a constantly updated news feed. No one covers the NBAA Convention better than AIN.
