Light aircraft fractional provider OurPlane last week took delivery of the first Eclipse 500 that will be operated under Part 91K fractional aircraft ownership rules. The very light jet, Eclipse 500 S/N 066, is based at SheltAir at Jacksonville International Airport for a corporate customer. According to OurPlane, this event marks the launch of the company’s nationwide fractional VLJ aircraft service. “We are excited to start delivering OurPlane’s fleet of Eclipse 500 very light jets,” said Eclipse Aviation president and CEO Vern Raburn. “The fractional aircraft market provides a valuable opportunity for more people to experience and own an Eclipse 500.” OurPlane president and CEO Graham Casson noted, “OurPlane customers can own their own private Eclipse 500 share for as little as $521,000, with fixed costs of $3,999 for 150 hours of annual flying time.” OurPlane has a fleet order for 21 Eclipses, but it plans to add more VLJ offerings so customers can choose the right aircraft for their needs.
