Bell Helicopter has announced that it has delivered the first 407GX aircraft into India. The customer is SpanAir, a leading air charter company that has operated the Bell 407 since 1996, and later added a Model 429. The company provides customized travel options and offers a modern, well-equipped fleet. The six-passenger Model 429GX fits well into that model, as its Garmin G1000H flight deck gives the latest in avionics technology, including assistance to avoid CFIT (controlled flight into terrain). The flight deck’s high-resolution screens host primary flight display information and other functions. The screens can show information from the terrain avoidance warning system and helicopter synthetic vision imagery. The 429GX is equipped with a tailrotor camera giving the pilot a clear view to avoid tailrotor strikes.
