Edra Aeronautics, a major aviation services center in Ipeuna, Brazil, about 90 miles north of São Paulo, celebrated its 15th anniversary, marking the occasion with the addition of two Schweizer 300CBi helicopters to its fleet.

The new helicopters bring the total training fleet to eight aircraft—seven Schweizers and one Comco-Ikarus C42B light piston single.

The company began as an aviation school and to date has graduated more than 2,000 pilots who have gone on to careers in virtually every corner of the industry, from corporate aviation to law enforcement. Today, Edra offers courses across a broad spectrum of pilot training, from ground school through commercial pilot.

The company has expanded considerably since it opened its doors, and today it also manufacturers the Super Petrel LS amphibious aircraft and is the Brazilian distributor for Schweizer helicopters and the Comco-Ikarus C42B light sport airplane. As a sales representative, it  delivers approximately 25 aircraft annually.

Employing more than 50 workers, Edra is also a helicopter and fixed-wing service center and provides overhaul services for Lycoming and Rotax engines.
