The all-composite Dornier Seastar completed a demo tour of the U.S. and Canada in mid-May, then flew to Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany, for a C-check. The tour will resume after the maintenance is done and will cover Europe, India and Asia. Dornier Seastar said it will announce the upcoming destinations this month. The 12-seat twin-turbine amphibian is already FAA and EASA certified. In the third quarter of this year, Dornier Seastar expects to announce selection of a production site, and under review are locations in Canada, China and India. First deliveries of new Seastars are scheduled for early 2015.

Wasn't the Dornier SeaStar assembly site already selected (2009) to be in St. Jean, Quebec, Canada ?
