Bombardier Boosts Training Infrastructure
Bombardier’s training network will employ five additional business jet simulators in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East by early next year, according to Bombardier Aerospace vice president of customer services James Hoblyn. This includes the first full-flight simulator for the Learjet 40/40XR and Learjet 45/45XR that was qualified last month at CAE’s Burgess Hill Training Centre in the UK. Another CAE location in Europe will add a Challenger 300 simulator in the third quarter of this year, Hoblyn added. Both the Learjet 40/45 and Challenger 300 simulators will offer the first training programs for these jets in Europe.
Also last month, the Emirates-CAE training facility in Dubai began offering training in a Global Express simulator.
Early next year, a Challenger 604 simulator, which is now located at Bombardier’s Montreal training facility, will be moved to CAE’s facility in Amsterdam. And in North America, a Challenger 605 full-flight simulator will enter service at Bombardier’s Dallas facility in the fourth quarter of this year and a Global Vision avionics simulator goes live in Montreal in the first quarter of 2011.
