LGA small airliner phase-out proposed

Under an FAA proposal issued late last month, an airline’s annual “average seat size” would have to be equal to or greater than the airport-wide target of 105 to 122 passenger seats at New York La Guardia Airport (LGA) or the FAA would withdraw operating authorization from the carrier. The proposed rule would also extend the LGA high-density rule beyond its currently scheduled January 1 termination date
